Welcome!
Army Community Service (ACS) welcomes you to the Fort Myer Military Community (FMMC). This community is a unique assignment, which is challenging and very rewarding. The garrison command includes Fort Myer, Virginia and the Fort Lesley J. McNair, District of Columbia. This is the Army’s largest and most diverse company in the U.S. Army. In addition, it is the home
of the oldest infantry unit, the 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment (Old Guard) and the Fife and Drum Corps, which is the only unit of musicians of its kind in the
armed forces.
The Morale Welfare and Recreation (MWR) have several programs to support you. Army Community Service (ACS) is a valuable family support service available to provide support services to ease your transition to the FMMC and the NCR. The Start Right Newcomers Orientation is the official welcome brief held every Thursday, 0800-1600, sponsored by the Human Resource Division. The orientation will familiarize you with the in-processing requirements. Please visit the MWR Relocation Program web link at http://www.fmmc.army.mil/sites/newcomers/relocation.asp and request a sponsor to assist you with arrival and in-processing.
Army Community Service is constantly looking for volunteers to help us provide a valuable service to the community. Please don't hesitate to stop by and let ACS assist you, or come donate your time as an ACS volunteer. ACS is located at Bldg 201, Custer Road, Fort Myer, Virginia. Hours of operation are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. The office telephone number is (703) 696-3510 / DSN 426-3510 or 1-800 477-9571.
