Personal Self-Defense Class
Police Services (Emergency Services Division), SHED (Safety, Health and Environment Division), and SEBA (Standards Employees Benefit Association) are sponsoring personal safety classes at NIST Gaithersburg for employees and associates. NIST Police Officer Kevin McMurtry will present beginner skills in the NIST fitness facility on Wednesday, August 6, 2008, at 10:30 a.m. Proper attire is work or street clothing. A waiver must be signed. Space is limited; classes are scheduled on a first-served basis by calling the SEBA store on ext. 3313. (Intermediate and advanced skill course to be scheduled later.) Note: Only one safety credit per year may be earned and recorded in the Commerce Learning Center for this safety course.
