1. The NIHGA rules specify that each member may choose, at his/her first outing of the season, which set of tees he/she will play from. The player must, then, play from the same set of tees for the remainder of the stroke-play and match-play seasons.
2. Identifying the tees as back, middle, senior and forward, most men will play from the middle tees and most women will play from the forward tees. Men will have the option to play the back, middle or senior tees. Women may play any of the four tees. At a course where only three sets of tees are to be used, men and women who have chosen to play from the senior tees will play from the forward (women's) tees.
3. The tees to be used at each course would be decided by a committee, including the td, scheduler, and/or other Board members and specified in the outing flier. For example, at Cross Creek we would use the Gold, Blue, White and Red tees and senior tee players would use the White tees. At Hollow Creek we would use only the Blue, White and Red tees and senior tee players would use the Red tees.
4. For the past few years, we have had separate long-drive contests for the back, middle and forward tees. At courses, where we are using only three sets of tees, the forward tee contest will include both forward and senior tee players.
