Welcome to the NIH/GLEF Home Page!

Statement of Purpose:

• To provide support for lesbian, gay male, bisexual and transgender (G/L/B/T) employees of NIH, by enabling them to meet and to discuss issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity in the workplace.

• To foster a professional fellowship among NIH employees who have an interest in G/L/B/T issues regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

• To organize social activities and coordinate meetings for members. Membership is open to all NIH employees.

• To be available as a resource on G/L/B/T issues to the NIH community at large.

• To promote a workplace environment that is conducive to the continued presence of G/L/B/T employees.

• To sponsor campus lectures or programs that will promote public awareness of G/L/B/T issues.
