International Car Free Day on September 20th, 2006, offered NIH bicycle commuters a chance to Participate in a global “revolution” and celebrate by introducing friends and co-workers to the joys of Bike Commuting.

To continue our work of educating NIH employees and officials about the environmental and health benefits of Bike Commuting, and to commemorate International Car-Free Day, the NIH Bicycle Commuter Club hosted organized group bike commutes. These rides finished at Center Drive, Building One, between 7:00 and 10:00 am, where a reception offering food and fun was waiting for all participating NIH cyclists.
