Secretary, Kathleen Sebelius, and the NIH/NOAA/HHS R&W for a special
HHS Night at the Ballpark on Tuesday, July 23rd as the
Nationals host the Pittsburgh Pirates. To recognize HHS employees
for their dedicated service, Secretary Sebelius will pick an HHS
employee attending the game to represent HHS by throwing out the
Ceremonial First Pitch. All HHS employees who plan to attend the
ballgame are invited to submit their names for a chance to be the
“designated pitcher.” Also make sure to purchase the HHS Night at
the Ballpark shirts exclusively for this event from the R&W for

Are You Ready For
Some Football? Washington Redskins Ticket Auction
After an amazing
season which resulted in a playoff appearance but ended with a
gruesome knee injury star QB Robert Griffin III, Redskins fans have
been eagerly awaiting the start of 2013 season to see how the
surgically repaired knee holds up and if the salary cap strapped
team has another playoff run in them. So far all indications are
that RG3 is “In for Week 1” and you can be there to watch the team.
The R&W will be holding an email auction, the week of Aug. 12th,
for each home game in the 2013 season which you can participate in
by emailing David at
nihrw@ors.od.nih.gov. Tickets available include all 8 regular
season games and both pre-season games, located in Section 430, Row
16, and Green Lot Parking. Opening bid info will be emailed to
participants at the start of the auction.

love…Baseball! Join the R&W as the Bethesda Big Train hosts the
Baltimore Red Birds on Friday, July 19th at 7:30pm at
Povich Field. The night’s promotion will be a “Tim Kurkjian Night”
with ESPN baseball analyst Tim Kurkjian. More details on this
