Welcome to NIHSA, the NIH Sailing Association

Our club is based in Montgomery County, Maryland, and owns five Flying Scot boats in Selby Bay (just south of Annapolis, Maryland) that members can charter. We also offer training, racing and social activities for our members. We are an NIH-NOAA Recreation and Welfare club, and as such offer membership to NIH and NOAA employees. Please see 'Membership' for futher details. Directions to the Selby Bay Sailing Center.

Boat Launch

So many people came out to help that we didn't need the last scheduled maintenance day. Therefore, the next big event is...boat launch! Come out on March 31 at 9am to add the finishing touches to the Scots and get them in the water. More info will be on our calendar.

Volunteer your time to train new sailors

We are always in need of people to help with on-board instruction for the basic training class. Volunteer as much or as little as your schedule allows, and receive free membership and several free charters in return. Contact: Shawn Mullen.

2012 Membership is now OPEN!

Remember, to be a NIHSA member you must also be a member of R&W. You can bundle your memberships here, or pay separately.
