NIHSA Charter Online

All NIHSA Flying Scot chartering is online.

Required: Only NIHSA 2010 Full or Associate Members with a Restricted Helmsperson, Helmsperson, or Skipper Rating may charter the NIHSA Flying Scots.

To charter, you must create an account (for free) on Book My Fun. You must set up a username and password. Write down your username and password to remember it for future use.  If you forget it, or for any other chartering questions, email chartering support at the email address listed below. 

Registration and Chartering Instructions

PLEASE NOTE: YOU CANNOT JOIN NIHSA AND CHARTER ON THE SAME DAY.

IF YOU HAVE A NIHSA FLYING SCOT RATING (RESTRICTED HELMSMAN, HELMSMAN, SKIPPER) ALLOW AT LEAST 1 WEEK FOR PROCESSING OF YOUR NIHSA MEMBERSHIP (BY THE MEMBERSHIP CHAIR AND THEN BY VOLUNTEERS WHO HANDLE THE ONLINE CHARTERING SYSTEM) BEFORE BEING ABLE TO CHARTER.

You may get on the chartering system, Book-My-Fun, and think you can join instantly, but in the end you can't, and it causes a lot of problems - for yourself and other people in the club. The least being, you will have lost around $47 or $48.

Join early in the year! Or be prepared to wait at least 1 week before you charter.

Step 2: At "Select a Reservation", double click on the boat name/charter type, AM, PM, or Full Day.

Step 3: Choose the month you wish to reserve a boat, click on the “View Calendar” button.
Available reservations are indicated in black, and red indicates unavailable.

Step 4: Click on the date you wish to charter.

STEP 5: IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED - choose “I have placed an earlier on-line reservation” and, in the drop down box: choose “I’m already a Member”, click on Select.

  • 5.1: Enter your Username and Password.
  • 5.2: Go to Step 7

STEP 6: IF YOU HAVE NOT PREVIOUSLY REGISTERED - choose “This is my first on line reservation” and, in the drop down box: choose "Members System Sign-up - $0.00", click on Select.

  • 6.1: Complete all fields that have an * next to the box.
    “Address information must match the address where your credit card statement is mailed.”
  • 6.2: At the bottom of the page click the "Create Account" button. 
  • 6.3: Go to Step 7

Step 7: Confirm the charter information and click “Complete Reservation”.

Step 8: Click on the button “Click Here for Secure Payment Form”.

Step 9: Enter the required form information.
It is important that you confirm that the address information matches the address you have on file with the credit company that you are using.

Step 10: Click on “Submit Transaction”.

Step 11: That completes the reservation. You will receive a confirmation email.
