The Club offers many opportunities to get to know Club members. These opportunities are a good way to find sailing partners and get involved in club activities. Work days in the spring offer the opportunity to learn more about the boats and the opportunity to get to know other sailors. There is an Open House at the marina each July and a Crab Feast in August. Meetings (planning parties) are open to all members. Planning parties will be held each month as needed. There will be social gatherings every month on weekday evenings or weekends. All events are announced by e-mail via the NIHSA-NEWS mailing list and, when possible, in the R&W Activities Sheets. The Maryland Cruising Guide is a book of charts of Maryland waters. It's helpful when sailing on Flying Scots and a necessity when sailing on cruising boats. Many NIHSA members own one. Purchasing it is a wise investment.
